As of the 1st October, 2013 the GozMod will be available for your AFM.

This mod brings multi-colour enhancement to your AFM and compliments an already fantastic looking game.

The board simply replaces the PCB in your mothership, is easy to fit, plug and play, cooler running and vibration proof.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating, so here's a short video showing the board in its multi-colour glory:

I offer a two year warranty and a 2 month money back guarantee. So there's absolutely no risk.

More information (ie background/features/photos/installation instructions etc) are available at http://gozmod.gozzled.com.

Feel free to ask questions here on the forum and I'll respond in a timely fashion.

Cheers!

Martin

Looks like a nice mod. The fitting also looks nice and easy, even to a mechanical numpty like me. Great to see new mods coming out for classic games.

Am I right in saying that the LEDs still follow the original illumination patterns? But now is either green/red depending on if the saucer is hit or not?

Thanks for the kind words.

You are absolutely right, yes. The original patterns were awesome enough - I just wanted to augment them with colour at opportune moments.

Any thoughts on a similar thing for RFM Gozzle???
Interesting idea, Paul. Do you have any thoughts on what feature I could add to an RFM? I really don't want to do anything like a Bill Ung mod, as although it's good, it doesn't fit in with the flow of the game, in my opinion, which detracts from the game rather than augment it.

Don't forget to post on the Pinside/other main international pinball forums, as I'm sure you'll get a few customers from there.

I really don't want to go all out on the "marketing push" until Marco Spec has got the boards in stock (they're on their way). I hate to get excited about something only to find out I can't get it - something I'm trying to avoid with this product.

Looks really good now I need a AFM
Thanks for the positives. Who knows - your wish may come true - especially if the rumours surrounding PP and their remakes isn't a rumour after all! Good luck!

Well you have 2x smaller saucers on there - Surely something could be worked between the two... in a similar vein to the one you have for AFM - as i said they are the same just on a smaller scale....

The original tutorial i found i have attached - Cheap however cheerful - but i got half way through and another project took over....

Hi Paul, Interesting. But it's more like a Bill Ung mod for RFM to me - much too complicated! What might be more interesting (for me) is making the lamps in the Mothership on the playfield bi-colour, as with the GozMod, which change colour at certain points in the game. What do you think? Once again I could most probably make this plug 'n' play and easy to fit, so that you won't have to give up the project half way through, as it'll be so quick to fit - as with the GozMod ;)

Also, thinking about it, I could include connectors for the external LEDs to the smaller saucers......hmmmm

one thing i'd really like - if possible - is a means of knowing how many more hits it needs to kill the mothership

You and me both Dan! To be honest, I don't think that's at all possible, as the ground rule of 3 hits for the first ship, six for the second, nine for the third etc seems to also be influenced by the ball you're on. As an example, one hit to the ship for the first city on the third ball is all it needs to drop the target.
