Through hole repair

Ive got some through holes to repair and I’m going to try the rivet route

Has anyone got any pointers for this? Or other ideas?

Plus where in th uk can I get these at sensible money? I don’t really want to wait months for China delivery

When faced with damaged through holes I usually strip off a piece of thin tinned copper hook up wire and use one strand of that to feed through the hole - solder both sides with the component (if you can) or pre-solder it to the top if it is for a large cap etc.

One piece of very fine hook up wire will usually carry in excess of 5A so it is more than adequate for most jobs.

I think rivets are great but overkill for a small repair job. Used at a factory or manufacturing level, sure but not required for most repairs.
