Things to look for before switch on.

Not sure about Sega, never owned one. If it is the same generation, boards should be swappable.
If you take a few better pics of the damage, I'll tell you if I can fix it - if it has been sitting for years happily corroding away it may be a bit time consuming... :p I just had a Star Trek with similar issues, but the -35 MPU I can bench test.

I was going to say what a shame, as couldn’t find anyone to look at mine with a hint of battery damage …….

Thanks drhex for giving me hope these boards can be fixed I'll see if I can get back in next week and get the 2 boards removed and see what's what.
Thanks again Brian.

Well this has been an ongoing thing but finally tomorrow I'll be taking hold of this southpark will be a bit of an effort to get down as I was let down with a telehandler so going to be doing it with a beam lifter,on a plus side it is in excellent condition apart from the boards with acid damage so hopefully will get it working again with help from a fellow member who I'm going to dump it on John you know who you are haha, will put pictures up tomorrow if all goes well.

As the rest of the machine is in good condition, I think you have made an excellent choice. Hopefully, the boards can be repaired.
Good luck.

If the person is looking to sell any of those old slots and has prices, please let me know!

That's it in the games room,no keys to get the translight out think the drill might have to come out.

Well I got up this morning and thought bugger it south park is getting switched on , didn't start well funny smell and no lights on any of the board's so switched back off quickly had a wee look and noticed I hadn't put a connection on the CPU plugged this in and switched on and it came to life DMD working but still a funny smell not as strong as when first switch on though but we have no lights on the playfield except one wee red light and no light in the backbox which means the tube is probably gubbed and ideas on having no playfield lights could it be the power driver board as it does look as if it's had a wee bit of acid damage.
Cheers Brian
