Wouldn't mind owning one of these machines.

Must be in good working order (no major issues) but, on the other hand, I don't mind doing some work to it if need be to bring it back to it's former glory :)

So, let me know what you've got!

If my ST doesn't sell for what I want, may be tempted to let my ToM go instead. Rebuilt playfield, new ramps, flippers, plastics etc. No wear. New DMD and driver board. New legs and cab condition 9/10. Cost me around £3K after about £900 in refurbishment, what you offering?

I'm near Preston BTW. ;)

John.

Thanks for getting back to me John, we're nearly neighbours!

The price is a bit too much for what I'm wanting to spend I'm afraid as yours is pretty near to mint now after the work you've put into it.

1800-2k would probably be my spend. As I said, I don't mind doing some work to them if it means that I save money on buying them.

I'll see how my money is, and keep you in mind John :)

No prob. Yeah, think you're looking at a rough(ish) one to clean up at that price range.

Give us a shout if you want a ToM fix in meantime. ;)

Thanks guys. There is an alright one on here advertised, but it's home is currently in Spain

What defines 'project' in the pinball world then? I.e how rough is it likely to be?

Depends who you ask . To me "project" is a seller-friendly word that means "Needs serious work/ money/ both before its realistically playable"
