Sold The Shadow

Hi all,

It is a sad day indeed! I have decided to part with my first pin - The Shadow. I've owned it since 2019 and learnt a heck of a lot. Highly recommended for a first pin. Not too easy and fast! Made it to the final battle loads of times but never actually completed it.

Good Bits

No faults
New legs and protectors
New ramps installed
Aurich translite
DMD good
Replaced cracked plastics
Playfield LEDs (some ghosting unfortunately)
Rebuilt wall (some new parts from Marco)
Quality green cover
Trough protector installed
Remote battery holder - Crocodile clip type - Could do with an upgrade tbh

Bad Bits

Some scratches/dings on the cabinet sides and front
Worse scratches/dings on the backbox - New decals included in sale - Top right corner laminate is coming apart
Corrosion on battery terminals
Right rail flasher needs a new bulb - Never got round to ordering one
Some scratches on glass
Replaced the foam pads at the entrance to the left ramp a couple of weeks ago and this has definitely increased the number of air-balls! Needs a firmer foam I believe

Original Baldwin translite
Original ramps - Left one broken at weld
Original manual
New backbox decals
Loads of fuses
Purple star posts - Never got round to replacing all of them
Various extra leds, bulbs, rubber set, balls, nuts, bolts, foam etc.

I can't think of anything else at the moment but will add info if I do. I can take additional pics or video if needed.

Price is £3500 firm.

Machine is located in Swansea, South Wales. You're more than welcome to pop round for a game and a beer. I usually work from home so most afternoons/evenings are ok for me.

if it wasn't for the fact i have a shadow already, 21+yrs, I'd have this, just for that beer at least! You got a great looking pin there and at 3.500 wont be on here long. All it needs is a pin2dmd, makes a massive difference when playing. good luck with the sale, underrated machine for sure.

Totally agree. Best bang for buck game around.

Has just been picked up and is heading to a new home.

If you ever need and help with the shadow, give me a shout. had mine 20+ years, although nothing has ever gone wrong with it, once had to tighten the left diverter. I've fully fitted 2xsmd's, massive difference and a pin2dmd which is a must, look on youtube. enjoy.
