As a side competition to the Classics I thought we'd have something that everyone can dip in and out of using that "Modern Classic" Pulp Fiction.

Machine is set to one ball per play.

It's £1 for ONE BALL. Get the best score you can with just one ball!

Prizes for the Top 4 Scores as follows:

1st Place: £100 +Jack Rabbit Slim T-Shirt (XL Only)
2nd Place: £50
3rd Place: £25
4th Place: £10

Pulp Fiction Machine graciously supplied and 1st Place Prize money also sponsored by @Gonzo

Fantastic 😀 I really do very much look forward to this. Do we have to dance the twist while playing if we get the twist contest going?🤣 😎

Some absolutely phenomenal scores were etched into silicon over the Pinfest weekend with only one ball.

1. (GC) Josh Iles 13,090,010
2. Craig Pullen 9,523,590
3. Josh Iles 5,393,320
4. Josh Iles 4,151,410

So that's £135 for Mr Iles and £50 for Mr Pullen. 💷💷

So the next time you're in a comp and have had 2 house balls, just remember it only takes 1 ball to turn it all around.

Very true, but there were an awful lot of those 'one ball' attempts to get there - given the number of times they were going around the foyer trying to find someone with change, I'm not sure how much profit either of them made from it, but watching them go back and forth beating each other's scores was very entertaining!

Worst thing was the coin return tray on Pulp Fiction - it has a ledge - so it was nigh on impossible to retrieve your £1 if it got rejected (which frequently happened). I spent more time trying to get a £1 coin back than I did playing the f*****g thing.
Yeah I'm not sure what they were thinking when designing that.

Better scores than most my 3 ball games, well done guys.

Assuming most location Pulps had the black Happ door with different coin exits. With the stainless one being more for looks than practicality.

Thanks so much for sorting this comp Arv and Gonzo, £50 recieved. It was a massively fun part of the weekend for me, going back and forth with Josh, Pulp is the absolute perfect game for a competition like this. Trying to get those £1 coins into the coin mech were as big a part of the challenge as getting BIG KAHUNA!!!

I think the trick was to roll them slowly in or if you have hair (if not borrow someone's head) rub it on said hair then put in.

If there is something I can do to improve the coin mechanism before next year please let me know.

I thought I'd purchased the correct one but presumably it's supposed to work all the time.

It could have been worse, I put £5 in as the coins kept being rejected not realising I couldn't get them out, DOH, it had to be taken apart to return the coins 🥴
