The cabinet looks pretty good condition 🤷‍♂️ I messaged seller about the playfield and back box / batteries, I imagine they’ve leaked as it says 8 years in storage

It's been in storage since 2008. So nearly 20 years, so I'd probably say they've leaked by now.

I use to love this kind of thing, like a surprise which is a puzzle and gamble. It could be a quick fix...

We know have a good idea why it won't work, and the very least to be replaced being the WPC-S board if the batteries did their favourite trick.
I would grind off that leg modification and maybe sort some legs out later.

But there are no playfield pictures, unless you count the little underneath through the coin door. Five pictures and they focus on the box, which looks reasonably good except what looks like a chunk out of the top front corner of the back box, which I can't explain how you get without taking the head off as this is either protected when laying on the cab and less likely to be knocked when upright.
The back of the backbox looks very unscraped compared to that front.

If someone gets this, keep us updated.

Agree, the start price would be worth a punt.
If the aim it to get it to working players condition, then there is some headroom. Assuming the playfield is playable, and the mechs are all present and fixable.
If it was closer, I would go and take a look, like the good old days.

With that leg modification perhaps it was on a ship and bolted to the floor😀

I was thinking bolted to the floor sounds more like it was in a dodgy pub somewhere the locals will lift anything not bolted down.

The metal in that ToM actually looks quite clean and shiny for a non worker. So it might at least have been kept dry

Does anyone recall what's been tippexed out on the instruction card? That might be a clue to something not working, long term, i.e. 'we can't/won't fix that, so alter the instruction card'.
