Hi. I'm after my first ever pinball machine and I'm afraid it has to be a TAF. Anyone looking to sell one please let me know. It hasn't got to be mint but has to be in reasonable condition and not fused about mods. Cheer all.

it seems even the flea-bitten machines fetch £2k and up. Double that (and then add some) for really nice ones. Amazing.

I hope you have semi-deep pockets!

Also, if it's your first table, I'd personally get something cheaper (and deeper gameplay) to pop your cherry on. You could easy get 2-3 decent tables for the price of a nice TAF these days. Expand your horizons :)

Cheers all. I know it won't be cheap but it's such an iconic machine that holds some great memories from 'back in the day' so it has to be done.

Indeed. TAF is a stone cold 90s classic, always in demand hence the price. If that is the machine you want then go for it :) , don't be swayed too much by other peoples opinion ...we all rate games differently.

If I owned one I wouldn't be able to get it out of the door fast enough given the pin-flation on them

It was my first game 15 years ago. I still have it. If you have the dough it is the right choice.

It is a deep game. Base colour black which is always the best colour. Side cabinet art doesn't fade too badly. Loads of spares. And lots of buyers should you ever sell.

And mine was remarkably reliable. It gave me less trouble in 15 years than my other games did in their first three months.

It was the best selling game for a reason.

Good luck

I have a very nice Addams that I'm just about to put up On the for sale thread. I'm based in brighton.

Great. What does PM or PM'd mean. Private message?. How do I send it, through 'PinballInfo'. Sorry to sound a moron.

It IS short for "Private Message". Although they're "conversations" on here. Maybe we're more chatty :)

Fastest way to open one up is click the "Tools" menu at the bottom of a users comment and choose "Start a Conversation".

You really shouldn't crash other peoples wanted ads and try and steal a deal from under them. Not cool.
Apologies too all - was not trying to steal the deal -been wanting one since I first joined and even before - check my posts - price is out of my boundary as I thought it may be. Sorry:(

Cheers All. I think I've just bagged my first ever pinball machine and can't stop smiling! Yes I know I sound like an 18 year old kid all over again but to be honest that's what it feels like. All I need now is a TZ, BK2K, FishTales, T2.......................................

Good job Tucks, the first one is quite special, and believe me it will be the first of many!!

If that's Justin's one you have bagged then you have done well , it's a beauty and been well loved... And your buying from a top top bloke as well :)

Welcome to the madness.

TAF was my first three years ago after I put off buying one for years. Still rate it as my favourite machine because it ticks all the boxes and has me coming back for more.
Start planning the space now, it is very hard to own one pinball machine, it has to be many and alway you want at least one more.

Completely agree Calimori, I've just started my collection again. After several years of not owning one I've started again, just finishing LW3 & SW projects. Already I'm thinking how can I fit another one in!!!! 'Er in doors' is already huffing and puffing at me!!

Really caught the pinball bug again a couple of years ago now and total addict. Really looking forward to getting TAF and I know I'll have to sell the wife, kids and move house for more space. Very exciting times in the pinball world and loving some of the modern games as much as the classics. I'm lucky to work opposite the Pipeline in London so visit as many lunchtimes as possible in the week and get my fix. They have just started Wednesday evening tournaments and the Big Labowski is on order. Good times ahead!

Welcome @Tucks (nice tag and avatar btw) to Pinball Info and congrats on bagging your first game. TAF is indeed a great game. Friend of mine deeply regrets selling his minter and is now on the lookout for a replacement. I'm slightly more old-skool preferring solid-states from late 70s and 80s but would never say no to a game or twenty-six on TAF.

Yes I know I sound like an 18 year old kid all over again but to be honest that's what it feels like.
Hey, we all sound like over-excited 18-year olds on here ;) Do you think any of us have really grown up? We might have mortgages, wives and kids but we've all got over-sized toys in the shape of pinball machines and arcade video games :D

I used to work 5 minutes walk away from The Pipeline and used to pop in now and then for a quick lunch time fix. I'm a bit further away now (one of those big new shiny glass buildings on London Bridge.) Didn't about Wednesday evenings. I could make it over for that and say hi sometime!

Can't make this Wednesday but will ask Thomas and Oscar @ Pipeline how it went and hopefully make some in the future.
Thanks to all the kind words on this forum.
