Terminator 2 lights have stopped working

Hey guys,

I seem to have lost power to the six lights

10 MILLION

EXTRA BALL

MULTI-BALL

LITE RETURN LANES

HOLD BONUS

SECURITY PASS

Everything else is working fine, it's not the bulbs. I looked through the manual and did a continuity test on the wires, they're fine too. Checked connections, new set of ribbon cables in recently. Any help to a newb much appreciated.

Have you re-soldered the header pins on the lamp board?

No, the last thing I did was work on the sound board but that was months ago

Looks like this may be your problem.


Try reseating J138 or chase the yellow black wire for signs of pinches or breaks.

Hello,

They're all on the same column, No.4, I take it that the other lamps for Col. 4 (Lock 2 & D/Base 2) are working, so Col. 4 drive from the power/driver circuit board is alright.

Aren't those lamps on their own circuit board, to save having six separate metal sockets?. Maybe the solder connection(s) on that is/are cracked, breaking the circuit.

I reset yellow/black wire under the playing field, it's back up and going. It looked good on inspection but just tried it to tick it off the list. Thanks a million for the replies and help. Thought I was getting better but don't think I'll ever get the hang of this. I really appreciate this community.
