I am getting this intermittent error on T2, not all the time.

Random stuff happening on the switch matrix. Im thinking a short to ground here.

Anybody else?

Iffy 12v or intermittent matrix problem, ULN2803? Corrosion issues on CPU? I'm sure there's a whole chapter on PinWiki for this issue.

CPU board is brand new rottendog, so i am hoping its not that!

I'll check the 12v and BR1 at some point.

Anybody know what model BR for these boards off the tops of their head?

Will check the earths too. Found some 35a 600v BR's they should suffice..

Ah, will do. Where about's are we checking on the drop target?

Hi, Arv,

The Wpc games display that message if the 'switch' called 'Test Position', number 24 (Column 2, Row 4), isn't read as Closed. It's permanently wired Closed, using a diode between the two relevant traces, on the Coin Door Interface board in the cabinet.

Hi Arv
i've seen this very recently where the capacitor C6 by the 12V regulator had leaked and corroded away the track below it, isolating the 12V to the header pin. Do a visual check around the cap for any leaking goo or check continuity with a meter.

If the CPU was replaced due to corrosion from the batteries check that the connectors have not been affected. If there's a dodgy connection to switch 24 then the message will appear.

Also I second what pinball toys said above. This failure is now increasingly common.
