I have wanted one for years, nostalgia reasons, played it in my youth. Finally got the go-ahead from the woman in the house to have one and I have the money. I am not expecting pristine but would like a working, playable machine. I have no problems with taking things apart and putting them back together and see this as an inside hobby when my outside hobbies can't be done.

As I have heard a few scare stories I would like to see it first so needs to be within reasonable driving/riding range of Watford.

Same here. Played TAF a lot in my youth and managed to get one eventually. Unfortunately it wasnt as exciting as my other machines so it didnt stay for too long. Might get another when this price inflation thing goes tits up and everyone gets sick.....(i wish)...

i can only ditto this.

i enjoyed my addams when i had it and lusted after one to relive my youth. i rate many pins above it however and would not pay these crazy prices asked for what is in essence an above average pin.

they also made shedloads as well so dont pay over the odds and certainly avoid ebay.

dont get me wrong...they are good....just not as good as two pins of the same value imo

I also have played this game many times and do love it and wouldn't mind owning one but as you say, prices are crazy but where else can you get them from besides these forums and ebay?

just be patient and keep an eye on here and the yahoo group. one will turn up.

you be in a better posistion if you had a machine to trade if im honest with you. for this reasion i tend to trade and not sell.

i swapped a cacking TAF for my current SS a few months ago as im into pins for fun not money

thanks, keeping a look out, will buy my first anytime soon when I see one I fancy, I like the idea of a trade but probably rare to find somebody with a machine you want who also wants yours?

more common than you probably think. you just need to let people know what you are after and they play the waiting game.

look at my signature for example.

lol

god that brings back memories of going to the cinema, was always on before every film for ages!

Not really mate. As long as you don't have a hurricane as currency you'll generally find someone out there whose susceptible to a trade. I've done it a few times. You win some you loose some!!!

You'll be surprised. Some people will generally only deal by way of a trade.

Good luck mate.
