T3 has Scratchy, poppy sound.

As in title. It's intermittent but getting worse. I have done obvious and easy things - reseatted socketed sound chips, tried to move speaker wiring away from any other cabling, tried different wall sockets in the house, turned off other appliances. It occurs in both display panel speakers and the bigger speaker in the cabinet. Not sure where to go from here. Any help greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Measured the resistors r110 and r106 as mentioned in the pinwiki and they check out fine (33k ohms and 10k ohms respectively).
