T2 attract sound

I'm hoping this is an old problem that is an easy fix
Setting A2 16 is turned OFF but I'm still getting the
Attract sound. Is at a ROM issue ?? An inherent feature of T2 ?
Or am I missing something obvious all other settings change and stay changed
After a power down

As usual Mr Marshall & Paul bail me out of the **** !!
Good answer its an inherent problem on the ROM you cannot disable the BOOM.
However some clever **** has written a patch for the code and posted it up on pinhacks
