T Molding for Sam backbox

Help please guys, ordered some 19mm (3/4 inch) t molding for my Metallica (early version wooden back box).
The strip is approx 2 or 3mm too wide but also the spine is very loose in the slot. I’ve found narrower t molding but any idea if the spine width differs so I get a tight fit like the original molding I’m replacing?

I know this is a old post but did you find the correct molding from anywhere in the UK ?
I just tried the arcade stuff and the spine is way too big.

I did after 2 attempts, the stuff I got was approx 1mm narrower but still looks great. Can’t remember where I got it from though [emoji2361]
