My Banzai Run "forgets" all its settings a couple of times a year. It is as though the batteries had failed. I use Lithium Energizers, these are regularly changed and there is no acid damage to the boards.

It reset yesterday when the game was switched off for about 15 minutes. The three batteries were all showing above 1.5v. It may be entirely coincidental but the pop bumper fuse had blown.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this issue pls ?

Might it be special solenoid switches being "on" when the game is booted up ? The warmer weather had caused some of my system 11 games to narrow the switch gaps on the pop bumpers and slingshots.

Thanks

Battery holder contacts ? Clean them , tweak them, make sure good contact. I've had games do this.

Battery diodes and or ram itself. Also, the memory protect coin door switch can be a problem. Sometimes though this type of fault just isn't easily fixable/identifiable

Power supplies all good? CPU power rails dropping (old caps getting warm) can cause problems here. I used to have terrible reset problems on RK til I recapped the PSU and checked all the voltage rails. Crikey yes, I'd noticed my BR machine gunning on the slings recently, warmer weather must be it. Time to get in and do some tweaking. Never thought about the weather!! :)
