System 11 ball trough...

Could I get someone to give me a hand and confirm if I'm losing my mind or not?
Can I get a picture of the ball trough area, specifically top-down looking at where the shooter lane kicker is.

I'm having problems with my machine kicking out an extra ball whenever the machine kicks the fourth ball back into the trough, and I'm seeing something not in the schematic and I'm on the verge of calling a curse on that fellow's underwear for seven generations, because I think I know what he's done. But would like the confirmation before I start tearing the area apart to undo what he's done...

Nah, balls to it... I KNOW what this pillock has done.
Why has this utter moron of a PO decided to shove the broken ball return gate wire in the ball trough?





The effect it's had is to raise the ball nearest to the shooter lane slightly upwards, which I guess was his attempt to stop the fourth ball from continuously rebounding back into the outlane kicker area... but it means that said outlane kicker usually knocks that ball straight up into the shooter lane!

Gotta love nasty ass hack jobs.

EDIT: Just pulled it out. It's not even broken! What the actual hell was this guy thinking?
EDIT2: All ball feed issues resolved. I want to believe that the wire just came off or broke off somehow and got lodged where it is, but frankly... it was put there. No way this got there by itself. None.
