SWL 2025 Summer BBQ Gathering Weekend 1st-3rd August 2025

Looking forward to a great Saturday
Please note - for Friday and Saturday there is a distinct lack of car parking within the compound as we have 3 garages all fighting for parking space for their customers. I suggest parking further down on Stephenson Road, Faraday Road, Smeaton Road, Edison Road or using paid car parking in the Railway Car Park.
BBQ Saturday and Sunday - it's a bring your own, cook your own affair (or ask someone nicely!). People normally forget bread and fillings such as salad or cheese. There is a small Tesco on Wilton Road and a larger Co-Op store next to the Britz Fish and Chip shop further up on Wilton Road. We will have separate small BBQ for Vegetarians.

Josh won, Owen got 2nd, myself third and Keith fourth
Absolutely shattered after today, especially with a tiebreaker after the final to determine 2nd but another great day at SWL, thanks to Peter and Hilary for hosting as it's always a pleasure to visit.
Definitely can't complain with another top 4 finish, shout out to a monster nitro ground shaker ball 1 to help me qualify for the top 4!!!

Not sure on today's finals but Josh and Jack's play from pingolf was super impressive I'll be back at SWL very soon

Just to echo Dave's comments on Jeremy's final round games, brilliant result to earn himself a playoff to make the cut. Also a mention to Simon who pulled it out the bag in his final round needing 14 points to qualify, great stuff. Congratulations to Josh for the win and Owen, Keith and Dan on making the final four. By the way I need to point out that someone forgot to put the rubbers on Nitro Groundshaker, an easy oversight but please rectify this faux pas for the next tournament !!!

Had a brilliant time on Saturday, Hillary and Pete were great hosts. Was really nice to meet people and try new tables. Definitely will be back!

Thanks for a great weekend, and thanks for all the priceless advice Maria and I received from Pete on Sunday not only regarding flipper skills and game strategy but also regarding tech stuff that helped me fix an issue with a 3 bank drop target once I got back home.
