Hi all.....I've 4 pinball machines ...A mint fredy nightmare .. street fighter 2...surf n safari ...and Mario ...
Had them about 4 years ....I repaired as much as I can just well stuck with one machine....

Surf n safari .....soon as I turn machine on constant buzz .....now I've swapped every board in the back and not made a bit of difference to the buzz hum....
What I've noticed is that if I unplug optos 1 at a time the buzz gets less and less until all optos are unplugged and buzz hum gone ..
I haven't a clue what it is......

Now I've seen a post on line same machine same fault but it's not had a reply in 1 year ...It must be a common fault but it's got me stuck
Hope some one can shed some light it's driving me nuts....oh best add I've change the 3 opto boards still same .....grrrrrrrr frying my head

Cheers jackinabox (shaun)

I can do 27c040, 27c020, 27c010 (4Mb/2Mb/1Mb), and i think the 256's.... Do them at cost price (usually £5 per chip)... all funds to the forum - unless you specifically want to do your own??

Thank you for the offer m8 ...I want to do them my self as I going to make changes to the sounds.....and I've other things I need the program er for ......

Thank you for putting my YouTube on m8 cheers.

Hi well after days of searching for Epsom programmer ....does any one use this one ...
True-USB PRO GQ-4X 40pin Willem Universal Programmer Set
I am new to this and wanting to reprogram gottlieb system 3 eproms

Cheers

EEvblog seam to like the tl866cs.

Cheap as chips but no good for the really old skool stuff.

It's because the old old ones use 24/25V to program - whereas the newer ones use 12v... Hence why the newer programmers (especially lots of the usb ones) cannot support 25v... When programming 12v via usb i have to use a 9v psu, and the Programmer then ups it to 12v internally....

Hi were can I get old of 27c020-25 eproms wiped ...There to fit street fighter 2
Cheers

Is that "get hold of" or "get them wiped"??

If wiped...
i presume they have a window on top? In this weather take the label off and leave them out in the sunlight for a couple of days.....

Sorry to slightly hijack this thread but I was wondering if any of you knowledgeable folk know what programmer I would need to burn my own chips for use in a Bally -35 MPU? As you know I've got a Paragon (original ROM) and Vector (custom ROM), and as a software engineer I could get right into tweaking and/or re-writing the gameplay code.

I'd be interested to start by burning these custom ROMs for Paragon: http://www.pinball4you.ch/okaegi/pro_soft.html
