My TAF suddenly lost 2lines on the dmd , I took it out and looked for the tell tale burnt solder joints along the edges , all looked good , checked connections and put back together , this time I had 2 lines out and 2 lines stuck permanantly on . I put my FT dmd in its place and all worked fine and put the TAF one in the fishtales and it showed the same symptoms -2 lines out and 2lines permanantly on , ok faulty dmd , but I am wondering if I have another underlying problem which caused this to happen all of a sudden , one minute my display was good , no week colour or time taken for it to heat up and get brighter , it worked fine as soon as I switched it on , so I am going to buy another dmd but I did not want to put it in if I have a problem which might cause the new dmd to fail , any thoughts on this would be appreciated

Check the pins on the DMD for corrosion.

Had lines appearing on fish tales so in just reseated the ribbon cables and they haven't been back since.
