Hey all
I’m not in any immediate rush to move this on so sending some feelers out but if someone else wants it they are more than welcome to take it off my hands. This machine is on the list to be at NLP next month so people can try it out in person but I won’t be selling on it before then. If someone wants to take it at the end of the show then that’s absolutely fine.
Not to wax lyrical about this but WPT is in my opinion one of the most under-rated games of the past 10 years, you really need to own one to appreciate it not just in terms of how deep (and fun) the rules are but how well it plays too, especially if you disable the posts on the ramps to get more flow.
Bought earlier in the year from Matt Vince after the London Pinball Championship. Since I got it I’ve:
Replaced all inserts lamps (were incandescent bulbs) with non-ghosting 4SMD LED’s from Comet, probably the nicest LED’s on the market and they look awesome in this
Re-rubbered about 80-90% of the machine
Added new drop target decals, this is very likely the only WPT in the country with these on. I also have a spare set of standard decals
Bought a complete plastic set for it
Ordered a replacement upper playfield from by Phil Dixon and collecting at NLP from Wayne Johns
So the good parts:
Playfield is in excellent shape
Full LED (inserts, GI and flashers)
Everything in very good working order
No broken plastics (and full spare set for it too)
Drop target mechs have all been stripped and cleaned so will be a good while before they need doing again
Extra special drop target decals with spare original set
Changed the crappy multiball music to ‘Ace of Spades’ using pinballbrowser
And the less good parts:
A few scuff marks on the cabinet, nothing major but you can see them up close
On occasion (usually when a ball leaves the scoop) a slow moving ball gets stuck between the lower pop bumper skirt and a guide rail. A firm smack of the upper right side of the cabinet will free it up as will a ball search. I’ve replaced the entire pop bumper mech and it still happens although it’s not as bad as it was before. Am not sure if this is a design flaw in the game. Am intending to have another look at it soon
Have really enjoyed this game and have put more plays on this than LOTR over the same period of time. Yes the artwork and music are a bit lame but I’ve really enjoyed playing it. Several others on here have had some time on this too so can vouch for how nice it is. Of course folks are welcome round to try it and have a cuppa too.
Price is £2350. Photos and video will be added soon. Machine is based in Leyland, Lancashire.
