Hi all, haven't been on here much lately (partly due to where I work now blocking the site, the gits..)
So, I'd had a shaker motor sitting in the box for a few weeks or so and yesterday decoded to install it in my MET Premium. A whioe back back when I had a pro I installed a shaker without any issues.
This shaker is from my go to place, Pinball heaven - ordered the one for SAM games and appears to be the rev b (although doesn't say Stern on the controller board, which is black, rather than green).
So I installed everything (my loctite arrived, so put that on the screwed installed).
Wired the red/white wire to the available matching wire/plug by the left flipper (i understand that red/white is for power?) but here's where I made a silly mistake;
I couldn't find any plug to plug the brown wire into... so I plugged it in to the only plug I could see; I think it was a black and white wired plug (which was hanging somewhere near the front/left of the cab)
Switched on the machine....nothing...
Realised a fuse had been tripped in our flat (cooker off, Internet router off) - flipped the switch in the fuse box, power to appliances back on.
Inside the cab, checked the fuse inside the mounted power supply; blown (understand it's a T5AL250v fuse - off to an electronics shop in the morning - pic below of the blow fuse)
Is it likely that I've seriously ballsed up my pride and joy? (Fuses in the backbox and on the shaker controller board look o.k) - or is it likely that when I replace the mounted power supply fuse I'll be up and running? (I've unplugged the shaker connectors)
This brings me back to my connector problem; where can I plug the brown wire/connector to? (Am I correct in saying the brown wire is to communicate to the backboard/rom re; when to activate?)
I've put pics below of the board installed and the connectors.
The last pic is of a brown wire connector which I discovered in the cab; "great!" I thought, but.. the connector does fit the connector coming from the shaker board harness:-(
I can't see any other free connectors...
Blown fuse/potentially ballsed game aside, this connector issue has me stumped (as above, had no problems installing a shaker in a pro a couple of years ago)
I was beginning to think that the harness which came with the shaker has the wrong connector? (Female instead of male or whatever?)
Things to mention which might be useful;
I installed a colour changing speaker lighting kit and also a colour dmd (lcd), but can't remember right now where they connected to (think the dmd just powered direct from the board/backbox)
I did buy a 12v/9v splitter lead a while back (pic attached), but didn't need to use it for the above and looking at the connectors, both connectors wouldn't for the brown lead connector, so I'm puzzled.
Any help would be much appreciated- wife's bday party this weekend (reason I can never go to pinfest...:-( and obvs would like everyone to be able to play some pinball.
