I don't know if I'm missing something obvious (always likely) but is there a simple way to remove a SAM system playfield as easily as it is with a WPC / Whitestar one?

I tried this with Spiderman once and just looked at WPT and it seems a much bigger ball ache than it should be. Both wiring looms are connected to the playfield, theres connectors between them, power connectors to pull off and even had to remove the coin door interlock button thing to get one out last time.

Anyone know how it should be done?

Thanks

They've carried that over from Whitestar then. I've taken out a couple of Stern Whitestars and the entire power loom is integrated into the playfield loom, so the entire wiring has to come out on those

Thanks Luke

Don't think all Whitestars are like that, my LOTR isnt and Carls Sopranos isn't but still, its a pain in the ****! :(

You can lift the PF out and lay it against the front of the cab vertically normally to work on, if it's to remove fully then you have to undo the lot
