Quite an interesting one in the workshop at the moment courtesy of Neil. Here we have a lovely Cheetah in for a playfield swap and a spruce up in preparation for the 2023 UK Open 😁 For the most part the machine works, it did have occasional minor issues while it's been at PBR - mostly with drop targets falling down by themselves, ghosting inserts etc. The original playfield wasn't too awful, bit of artwork flaking off but quite a lot of nasty bubbling/particularly removed mylar but the new one really is stunning. Here's a few before pictures:

Lots of progress already! Playfield completely stripped down top and bottom - I've gone for a colour coded cable tie method to help distinguish the separate circuits within the loom (as well if taking plenty of notes and pictures of course) Red ties for Solenoids, Green ties for switches, yellow ties for inserts and Blue ties for GI lines. Maybe a bit overkill but we will see how much it actually helps in the end, especially when the loom is cleaned and they've probably all come off anyways 😂

Having the old Playfield next to the new really shows the difference, perhaps the old Playfield is more knackered than I originally thought! Next up is a big parts order and a busy tumbler and metalwork station, will probably tackle all of the mechs next and get absolutely everything ready before starting to assemble the new playfield.PXL_20230725_173650767.jpg
