So the problem is that the game reboots if I start a multiplayer game as soon as player 1 loses their first ball.

I've updated the game code to the latest, reseated connectors, I am thinking this is possible a ram issue?

Does anyone know the ram used for the CPU and where I can get some from?

Wow. I've never heard of a game only having a fault in multi player games.
Does it play okay in a single player game ?

Do you have another ribbon cable you can swap that links the two boards ?

The two 1981 Stern 'FreeFall' games bought by a local arcade could only really be played in single player mode - anyone who started a two-player game risked having Player 1, Ball 1 suddenly change to Player 2, Ball 1, scoring of a token 20,000 or so, then a change to Player 1, Ball 2. I don't recall any occasion of 3 or 4 player games even being attempted. Both the machines were sent back.

I've reseated all the cables - it's a ram issue :) If anyone knows a source or can give me a link to the actual chip locations on the CPU i'll get the swapped.

Thanks

I've got someone that can do surface mount stuff so not an issue.

just wondered where to order the bladdy ram chips.
