Thought I'd start this thread to post progress on some cool Star Wars projects I have in the pipeline.
Lots of components and stuff......
Blinky board this is a lighting effects board which I'm going to use in a millennium falcon. This thing you can do so much with it can do 18 different effects flashing, pulsing, blinking strobing ect. Can attach up to 40 led's (it's been tested to 40 so might take more).

Tiny soundboard and amp that I'm going to use on a droid project involving lights, sound and pos smoke....

Lots of bits and kits more kits on their way...

These kits are awesome the detail is amazing and they are a good size so don't take up much space.
Not a huge amount of progress so far made up some photoetch parts which replace some parts of the kits with even more detailed parts. These parts involve folding, bending soldering or gluing and takes bloody ages.
Some falcon photoetch before paint
Exhaust vents the originals are molded so you can't actually see the detail behind. Each one is made up of 4 panels which are very fiddly to put together

These are the gun turret cockpit area thingies. All the holes are for fibre optics

Modified main cockpit awaiting paint

Modified seats awaiting paint these have had some parts trimmed off and photoetch pedals and tiny steering wheels added
Before

After

While I'm waiting for paint to dry and a guy to get back to me whos helping with the blinky board cuz I really liked how he'd done his falcon I've started on the X-wing starfighter. So far I've modified the 4 engines by cutting and drilling out so I could attach photoetch parts so they can be lit up.

Going to use a red flickering led behind each one in the main engine section. Even lighting a couple buttons on the dashboard / control panel
