Dare I start one of these threads?

Loved this since the first time I set eyes on it a couple of years ago.

It was calling at me all weekend at Play Expo.

I have to have one. Anyone willing to sell/part exchange + cash?

You should have asked on here a few months ago. I ended up selling my ST LE to another group member quite recently, so there are a few of them around.

Alas, I never managed to get a game on the one at the show, always too many people around it. :( Great to hear it being played above the noise of the rest of the games though! :)

At around £6k, I guess they're still a bit too pricey for me. Being a little bit too eager.....

I see what you mean. Just checking out the specs and there's no difference to the actual game or playfield. And it does look nice :)

No not much in them, just a different backglass, different artwork, no Gary sig, no chrome DMD panel. The biggest thing probably missing is the LE siderails that have a strobing 'phaser' but again this doesn't affect gameplay at all.

Talking with Phil Palmer a couple of months ago, he suggested there were perhaps fewer Premiums than LE's in the UK. I was looking for a Premium but ended up with a ST:TNG.... no space now if one even came up :(

I misread the title and was referring to plenty of pros about rather than LE / premiums. Keith's machine was the nicest Stern I'd ever seen but out of my price range. I'm expecting a PRO in December and cant wait as was on my hit list before Id even seen one. There may be a slim chance of a second from same source and believe me the price is right so if you can slum it with a an ex operation PRO , Phil send me a PM

Absolutely - a Stern Premium as it should be; fully featured game like the LE's without the plaque & bling (*cough* ****ing Tron *cough*).

Got Chris B's old LE here, and i wouldn't have any problem downgrading it to a Premium. A least then i could fit normal Mirror blades! The fully RGB light show on the Prem/LE is an obvious benefit over the Pro though, but probably not worth the several grand price increase unless you really really need it.

...don't forget the baked potatoes!
