ST25TH Transporter backlight upgarade

In the time I have owned my DE Star Trek 25th I have had to replace the flo tube twice, and it does not get much use, and with the crappy carboard reflector I have decided to upgrade it to a led panel, now I need 90 to 260vac to run the led driver and the transformer (choke) only gets about 40vac. I'm not sure about having mains volts in the backbox! But I might look for around 100vac tap from the transformer and divert the 2 wires that run to the choke to that tap, I will update for anyone that has an interest to see how this pans out?

there should be 100v there already. I’ve installed led floods here without making any alterations. Remove the starter and choke and you should be left with 110v at the input.

I vaguely remember it doing that but I haven't played it since the 90's and definitely haven't seen one since then. Interesting upgrade.
