Special When Lit Social and Sat League Meet & BBQ

The next Special When Lit Social meet and BBQ will be on Saturday 7th September 2019. It will incorporate the next round of Saturday league at Special When Lit (other round is Sat 2nd November 2019).

BBQ is a bring your own and cook yourself using the supplied BBQ..!

Special When Lit will be open from 11:00 am and all machines will be available for freeplay and league practice. The league games will start at 1 pm. Everyone can play until the league starts at 1 pm, anyone not wishing to play in the league can use the remaining tables whilst the league plays on a randomly selected machines. We hope that the league games will finish around 5pm and we normally shut around 6pm. Games change on an ad hoc basis and are subject to serviceability and change.

There will be 3 rounds of the league, the top 2 meet results to count, each round will be determined by placings after 10 rounds head to head, randomly drawn players and machines.
Top four players qualify for a three-machine final with scoring 7-5-3-1 per machine.

Cost is £5 per person (£3 for children aged 14 and younger when accompanied by an adult) and all machines are on freeplay.

The usual nibbles, tea, coffee and water are free of charge. Any items from the large fridge must be paid for - eg. cans of fizzy drink and chocolate, etc.

These are not for profit events for supporters of Special When Lit that help raise funds to keep Special When Lit open.

If you've never been to an event please note that everyone is welcome! We don't bite... Honest!

Well the cause of the original intermittent fault has been found and fixed but knowing that game I'm sure it'll think of something else to go wrong specially for the weekend..! :oops: :rofl:
 
Ooh we do love a BBQ but I'm raising money for Dorothy House that evening so not sure if its doable to spend the day in Salisbury and then drive to Bath for 5pm. It would certainly rule me out of a league play... Will speak to the missus.

I think we'd finished league play by 3:30pm last time... Just saying... :D

Forgot to say that Medieval Madness went up in smoke tonight so will not be available to play tomorrow along with Firepower which is also out. Nip it and Harlem are not set up so won't be in the mix of available machines but The Simpsons Pinball Party remains set up and available to play.
 
A big thank you to all the troops at special when lit. (Peter, Moira and Hillary.) for a great afternoon of pinball. Had a fabulous time!....the barbecue was just the right temperature to cook my beetroot burgers on.....good to catch up with everybody, inc. @DanLewell and @GezTheHealer . Plus the biggest bonus of all, the match play software avoided me playing tspp hoorah! Great day. C u all soon........keef......😎
