South park pinball backbox light

Hi I've got a south park and when I got it the backbox light didn't work so swapped the tube with the the one in my tspp still didn't come on so I gather the ballast is away also, so I was wondering if there is an easy plug and play replacement I've read a few threads on it here about it so was wondering what the best recommendation is.

Re. the ballast I replaced one in my Stern and I'm one level below clueless when it comes to things like this.

I think an LED replacement is an alternative but not sure exactly what you would need to do to install that, possibly just bypassing the ballast but please wait for better advice on that.
