Hi guys

I don’t know my way round these old Bally’s at all.
Both upper and lower right flipper have stopped working.
Coincides with me tinkering to tighten the flipper bat up.
It will occasionally flip once but otherwise nothing. Done the usual check connectors.
Can’t see anything obvious.
No wires off etc..

Can’t fathom the test diagnostics on these games.

Any ideas?

It has Altek driver board and cpu.

Thanks all

The end of stroke switch on the lower right flipper needs adjustment or is disconnected. Make sure it is closed properly at rest and opens fully when energised.

The End Of Stroke switch needs to be making good contact as it forms part of the power winding circuit. If it’s not making good contact you’ll just be getting the holding winding, so as it is at the moment if you manually move the flipper to the up position when you’re pressing the flipper button, I’d expect it would stay up.

The upper flipper gets its power from a second switch on the lower flipper mech that makes when the lower flipper is up.

Check the EOS!

++Edit - it must have taken me over 10 minutes to write that, as Andy‘s rather more succinct reply was posted in the meantime!
