HI,

After years of ARCADE collecting I think I can no longer resist temptation and want to get myself my first pin.

At the moment I'm all about the theme and I would love to get my hands on the older data east Simpsons table.

Others I would be interested in include Batman & Batman forever, flintstones, turtles etc. Really looking for something in good working order, bit of cosmetic wear & tear is fine.

Any help on tracking something down would be much appreciated.

Welcome John. There's a lot of good entry level games out there. I would say avoid Turtles though, it's garbage. Out of the ones you mentioned Flintstones is probably the best bet. Cheap Williams dmd game and good bang for your buck. It was my first pin and whilst not a keeper for me personally it was a good place to start.

Cheers. I'e only ever read bad things about the turtles sadly. Shame.

I have managed to play quite a few tables over the years locally. Tend to be the newer stuff Metallica walking dead etch which are cracking but out of my price range.

Never seen a Simpsons since the 90's. What would you reckon would be the going rate ?

There's a Simpsons pinball party just gone on EBay I know it's not the earlier one you are looking for though, and priced high.

It’s definitely over priced.

I was hoping someone would confirm that! I didn’t think it was anywhere near a £6k Pinball! Especially when new Sterns are around that money. I would thinking they were around £3k?

I was in your boat a few months ago looking for my first pinball and went for a Street Fighter II in the end. Really enjoying it and making better with a few LEDs etc. I looked at a Simpson’s DE (funny enough UK Pinball had one!), but I would always go DMD for your first pinball.

Hope you find one mate.

I saw a street fighter for sale on ukvac a month or so back. Looks cracking, too much choice haha. Hoping to just get a nice fun worker to ease myself in.

If you like Street Fighter II, I think you will enjoy a Street Fighter II. They are pretty cheap too for a DMD. Even friends with no interest in the theme have enjoyed it. Don’t let the really crappy back box art put you off :0)

Good luck.

One just went up for sale on here too.

I’d quite like a Batman Forever at some point . Don’t seem to come up on here very often . Are they rare or held onto?

Someone on ukvac was asking for valuations in a batman pin the other day
So one will proberbly be up for sale soon

Yeah, I think he said it was in storage so it might be while until it is up and running with a sale. If you are serious, maybe drop him a line, it’s in the Valuations Thread on UKVAC.

Cheers, I saw that last week and messaged Steve at the time. He doesn't seem to be 100% on selling it at the moment. Batmans cool but it would probably be my last choice put those listed.

we have bought a flintstones, batman forever in the last 6 months the batman forever is a great game, wide bodied, loads of ramps,6 player game and 4 game modes to choose from prefer it to flintstones
