Selling valuable watch - how to receive payment ?

Asking for a friend

He is selling a watch for 10x TAF type money. He does not want to pay commission to an auction site.

All sounds very risky to me. How can he safely receive funds without risk of charge back?

Bank transfer. Handover watch in person, video record the handover and get buyer to sign a receipt saying they have received the watch and are happy with it etc.

I did this earlier this year when I sold some high value items to a person I didn’t know.

Selling to an individual? bank transfer and then immediately move the funds.
I personally wouldn't if its that kind of money, sell to someone else like watchtrader.co.uk.
