Figured i might aswell post here too, since im not seeing any response from Pinside.

I traded a Williams Jubilee EM for a Segasa Gamatron (+ with a bonus Dodge City EM pinball for free) and ive fixed the wood issues on it and repainted the cabinet, resoldered all the boards, cleaned the playfield etc etc and got it working fine, until just a week ago when it suddenly started doing "tilt" when pressing the left flipperbutton.

From the pinside page:

"Well, been doing some testing today and it seems its the right flipper that cause the "tilt", the one with the right kind of coil, since i started a game and kept pressing the left flipperbutton rapidly, and the game didnt do anything, but when i tested the right flipperbutton rapidly it did the "tilt" thing after some 20 clicks.

As you can see, the right flipper have a BC 900/55 coil which is the correct one, while the left have a BC 1150/45 coil, which is a kicker/droptarget coil (also, the flipperspring thing has been fixed, its no longer mounted that way, but the correct way, just used an old pic.)

Update:

I changed the right coil on the flippers now on my Gamatron, and now the left flipper just died, and all you hear is a weak click when pressing the button, and i located it to this relay:

You can see a visible spark inside that relay when you press the left flipperbutton, and if pressed enough times it does the "tilt" thing, now, are those relays available anymore? its a 170 ohm 6Amp according to the manual.

Update: seems the left coil still works, if i hold in the left button and push the plunger manually, it will hold it as long as i hold the button, and if pressed/used too often it will do the tilt thing. ? the GI lights on the playfield seems to react to the left flipperbutton too, they do a little blink each time its pressed."

Anyone here have any idea what, where and how to proceed here? i have the manual but its...well, pretty beat up, been waterdrenched and also had mold, specially over the schematics, which also is in spanish.

I do not know these games.

Are the flipper buttons on the switch matrix with the tilt switch ? Or are the flipper switches independent of the switch matrix (like on bally ss and wpc games ?)

If the flipper switches are independent, I think you might have a power supply problem. I would check the various voltages at the touch points on the boards using a multimeter. I had a problem on my 1981 vector where a relay as not energising properly, it was cured by replacing a defective bridge rectifier on the power board. Because one of the two bridge rectifiers was dead, the relay was only getting half of the voltage it needed

I dunno, but both flippers are weak by the way, even with 4 new switches, cleaned coils and equipment, so i am suspecting the power supply board.

I'll check the voltages on the boards, although i have no idea which voltage is the correct one to look for.

Thing is, the flippers worked before it carried it into the house (had it in the garage for a few weeks for wood repair and cleaning), then around 2 days after it got inside this tilt thing started.

Ive switched all 4 switches (both in the cabinet and on the playfield), cleaned up the coils and changed the right one to the correct BC900/55 coil (noticed its typed in wrong in the frst post.), then after the first testrun the "tilt" problem arrived and then the left flipper just died, but if i hold the button and manually press the plunger it will hold it until i release the button. If i press the left button like 6-7 times in a row it will "tilt" and return to attract mode.

Also, i kinda need help finding the right kind of battery for this one, since the old one was dead and starting to leak (nothing dangerous), its one of those with 2 + legs and one - leg.

I do indeed :D Was messing about with my Star Wars today as it's got a problem with the trough kicker and also weak flippers (although I suspect this is due to incorrect coils). I need to have a look at the manual for mine but I've not seen a problem with that relay on mine so might not be able to help with that.

Try replacing all the blue capacitors on that board first. While the board is out reflow all the connector pins and clean them. Once you have done that and if the problem remains then see about possibly replacing the relay but I suspect that might not be the cause.

I already resoldered the connectors on all the boards, and cleaned them.

Know any good store for capacitors?

if you don't mind waiting a little then https://www.greatplainselectronics.com/

Well, i switched out the 2 big blue capacitators on the powersupply board, but the Tilt and dead left flipper problem still persists, should i replace all the caps on the powersupply aswell + the transistor and the relay? If only i could figure out why the left flipper just died like that, and why they are so darn weak how much i replace stuff.
