I think I have asked this before but can't find the thread!

Anyway game is x files the issue is the game serves a ball to the shooter lane but it falls back in the trough, sometimes it will fire it out again but mostly the game hangs for ages before it does a ball search! Very annoying! surely there is a fix for this either software or hardware?

Cheers Ronnie

The pic here shows that the trough has a lip over the exit to the playfield. My guess is that yours is bent/worn and so the ball rolls back ?

Cheers guys, will have a tinker and see what I can find. You would think the pin would know that there was no ball in the shooter lane as it has a switch!

Thanks Ronnie

I had this in my sttng . is it bouncing back into the trough?
Stuck some sticky back velcro to cushion it and it worked fine! Can't even see it. Head wrecking problem.

I think it's bouncing back! where did you stick the velcro? I guess the Sega trough is different.

I also checked it for being bent or worn but it all looks good. Maybe a slightly beefier coil would help?

Thanks Ronnie

Ah if you look at the pic at the top mine has a metal lip at the top, not sure sticking anything there would obstruct the ball

Sometimes just adjusting that metal it rolls against will help with the angle it goes into the lane and stop it bouncing back in. Just bend it and have a play.
I had a game that used to do this with the glass on, but when i removed the glass it was fine:hmm:
