What size are the screws supposed to be that secure the backbox boards in Data East games ?

And are they usually hex head or philips ? Every game I have had seems to be a random assortment of anything and everything

The Logic & Sound boards to the metal panel in the backbox? Aren't they Pan Headed Machine Screws #8-32 x 1/2" length or are they a little shorter?

If you mean the metal boards to the timber then yes those are hex heads.
