Rush Pro - How to Fix Main Scoop Device Malfunction

Hi All,

I have a Rush Pro, which is about a year old and today, a ball went into the scoop and it wouldn’t eject. Then the screen came up with the message “Main Scoop Device Malfunction”. I noticed that when a ball goes in the scoop, there is an intermittent clicking, almost as if the kicker is trying to fire the ball out. I’ve checked the underneath of the board and I can‘t see anything obvious (broken solder, unconnected wires, displaced plugs etc)). I’ve also checked the kicker plunger and it appears to be free to move.

As such, does anyone have an idea of how to fix it? Is it likely to be the kicker which needs replacing?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Had a similar thing happen on my Star Trek Pro at a league meet (exactly the same message). Check all the fuses - one of mine had blown. Changed it & it came back on, but after a few games, it happened again, but this time blew a different fuse. Changed that on & it's been fine since.

There's probably something causing it, but couldn't see anything obvious - will look harder if it happens again.

It wont be a fuse. Rush is spike 2.

I would test the mech in the test menu.

Then check the mech. Download manual and check diagram. Make sure plunger has a good sleeve and not missing the end bit of plastic!

Thanks for the responses. I’ll check the sleeve and end bit of plastic tomorrow however, I did test the mech as suggested and it ejected the balls without a problem. So I’m guessing its either the scoop not detecting the presence of the balls, which I think is unlikely as the green light flashes on the top of the scoop, so the system knows it’s there. Or I’m guessing it’s something on the software side.
