Has anyone on here bought one of these please ?

I am after a DIY installation. It will double up as an outdoor eating cover in the summer and a covered working area for my workshop in the winter when I am sanding/ grinding

Any tips ? Decent suppliers?

Thanks

Yep I’ve got one DIY fitted myself a few years ago, mounted it on a horizontal timber beam on the back fence over the patio area, great sunshade, at one point we were hoping it would keep the patio furniture dry, but all that happens is water pools on top, so it’s no good for that! Good as a sun shade possible light showers but not rain.
They do fade a bit in the sun, we wrap ours up over the winter and leave it outside.
Overall we are happy with ours
Hope that helps
Tony

No I’ve just checked mine was only a cheap one made by Primrose? Couple of photos attached, just note I went a bit over the top on the fixings, something like a 7” x 2” with big bolts, they can catch the wind and act like a sail, so make sure it’s fastened well, note the sun fade I’ve just turned the dangling bit round as it was sun bleached from the green to the grey, ours is about 4 years old? You can’t see grey bit unless your above it
Hope this helps, when we were looking there were lots of different makes etc, ours wasn’t an expensive one but it’s been great!

We have similar, bolted directly to the back wall of the house.

one main thing - they hate wind.... if the wind gets up then they willcreak, flex and if the extenders bend then it's goodbye.

They are GREAT in the summer. Not practical in the winter though...
