I've finished restoring my Rocket III backglass, it aint gonna win any beauty contests but imo a big improvement :thumbs:

As I had to make my own light filters for the text panels could use funky space fonts

Did you paint it or used coloured plastic film ?

Carl, both, I largely followed Clays restore guide - http://www.pinrepair.com/restore/index1.htm#touch

Translucent areas touched up well with acrylics then backed with silver, that is once you mix a good colour match. I tried touching up the opaque areas but they looked rubbish once lit. The single colour opaque areas I scraped out and backed with filter lighting gel.

Tbh, this glass was fooked, I've practiced some skills and the result is ok, fortunately a bgresto repro is available and I may treat it sometime in the future:thumbs:
