I have just finished doing up my RFM which is all sorted except one tiny issue. Two lamps are permanently on.

The issue remains whether using incandescent or led in the sockets. Both lamps are on the same board and are identified in the pics below.

What on earth is the problem? Anyone had similar issue?

Hi Jon that looks like a row transistor locked on (ie gone short) that would usually mean all lamps in that row would also be on (upper right corner/right return lane lamps etc) also a shorted diode on the back of that lighting board can cause this ,hard to say without seeing a circuit diagram ,but I would start by looking at those lams on that row to see if they are also locked on (if they are then your transistor has fried its marked in the manual but from memory its a tip 102 or tip 107. Also if Jim Askey picks up on this thread there is no better person on pin 2000 than Jim

cheers
Keith

Thanks Keith - I've checked the other lamps in that row. Three are GI and so always on. The last in that row (right return lane) is flashing normally so I guess not transistor. I shall have a look at the back of the circuit board next.

Well well well, not being used to pin 2000, I didn't realise it did this:uploads.tapatalk_cdn.com_20160623_8e41bb3ade6f47eae7b7b4dedd887cfb.jpg

Problem found and solved without any hunting around at all. Some idiot must have accidentally bent the tab on the bulb holder so that it was touching another tab causing it to short.

I can't for the life of me think who did that ... [emoji15]
