RFM Cover for PCB

Hi guys,

My RFM is missing the cover for the large PCB in the base of the cabinet. on a recent service visit, Andy N recommended I try and find one, or make something suitable.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to go about this - I guess I could lay a sheet of plastic over the top, but wondered if anyone had any better ideas, or even a spare one laying around?

Thanks in advance,
Mark

I too am missing the cover for my RFM and was planning on making one from polycarbonate, and hinging using the original holes in the sides of the cabinet

Hi Kev, good idea! I will have a look at the shops tomorrow and see what I find. I would still prefer something more original looking, but that would be better than nothing :)

Hi Davey, sounds like a good idea! If you do get round to making something and have a spare one to sell, please let me know as I would definitely be interested!

Cheers, Mark

Hi guys, I've found a temporary solution. I was in the Pound Shop today and saw a black plastic box with lid that might fit. When I got home, the box was slightly too small, and a bit too deep, so that was no good. However, the plastic lid fits neatly over the PCB, and stays in place nicely!

Not perfect I know and I would much prefer an original plastic lid (so if you have a spare, or if you make a repro anyone, please let me know). But, in the meantime, what I have in place will do for now :)

Cheers, Mark
