Reverse engineering

Someone, somewhere has undoubtedly reverse engineered the software in a pinball machine. Could someone point me towards a description of such a thing?

Sorry, I meant a web site where someone describes what they found, not a physical apparatus to do it.

Most of that stuff is beyond me but I found the bit about making a cabinet interesting - not that I have the skills or tools of course, but if I'm ever stranded on a desert island with all that stuff then I will know how to break it and cut my fingers
