Hi

Not sure where to puit this. I ma not a big fan of trains sets but my eldest loves them. He and his grnadpa share a Train set bug. So where to put one? I know, i'll buy some Pullies n stuiff and hopist it up to te ceilling when not in use :)

Firsty off youl need a few buts n bobs...

The board is 18mm good quality Ply. And yes that is drain pipe :)

Load of Carrabiners, pulleys, 6mm cotton cord (16 strand) and loads of marine stuff...

That's the counter weight sorted. 10mm T nuts for the back UUUUrAAARR!

Will need to get some wheels on the back of the counter weight where it contacts withe the wall. Also need to level the table, so need to find a better way other than teeing a knot to fasten the cord, as it is a nightmare to level off.

Just a shame we cant do this with Pinball machines :)

I'm now conjuring up a way to have my scalextric in my man den using a similar set up. Inspired!

Trains are a huge thing in our house. Our 2yr old and 5yr old are utterly obsessed. We were on a steam train today...and most weekends. We holiday in cottages with steam trains running past the garden. I have Brio taking up most of our house. I feel your pain.
