Resets

Now I know early 90's dmd games are famous for resets. I've seen all the literature on guidance for curing it. However this is normally in relation to a drop in the 5v when both flippers are pressed or during multiball when there's loads going on.

But on my FT, once in a blue moon it will reset when the launch button is pressed. It's done it 3 times in as many months so it's not common. You can double flip all day with no problems.

I've checked the switch to make sure it's not shorting on the housing.
I can't see anything obvious.

Any pearls of wisdom appreciated.

Is it the button press or the solenoid firing?

Is it instantly dropping out. Or do you get any sounds or anything on display?

Yes Andy. Instantly. Symptoms are identical to a double flip reset.
