Hi there
I’m a total novice with pinballs but recently acquired Rescue 911. It’s a great pinball and playing really well. There was a couple of bulbs that have gone out and after looking on YouTube as to how to access the underneath of the playing field (which seemed straightforward) I ordered some bulbs.
However, I just knew this wasn’t going to be as simple as I thought. After reading the instructions which states”Slide the play field towards you, pivot upwards and back towards the light box” which is what showed on YouTube. However, it will only lift up a few cm as the wiring is connected from underneath to the play field and is taught meaning it will snap if I put any pressure in lifting it further. It looks like I’ve got to disconnect a few cables somehow? Anyone had the same or has this been rewired somehow.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
Rob

It shouldn’t require any cable disconnection. Something may be trapped that shouldn’t be. Can you show pictures of the problem?

I hope you can see what I mean. The cables are attached from the playing field to the cabinet so can’t move it.

And disconnect any connector that appears to be the problem? Label both ends before disassembly if you are unsure? Take photos too.

This connector is hooked to cabinet wiring.

No it is just catching on the piece of plastic on the outside of the connector. The leg circled by Andy. Unhook it and it should lift up is the presumption.

Ok, I’ll give it a go at the weekend and will let you know. Thanks everyone for your help.
