Repairing / touching up a translite?

Hi guys,

You may have seen from my "wanted" post that I have a lovely Who Dunnit, the playfield and cabinet are fantastic but there are a few small scratches on the translite.

My preference would be to buy a new one, or swap my ok one for a better one and pay some cash towards it, however nobody has come forward yet.

Anyway, I decided to try and improve it myself by putting small squares of black tape on the back of the translite to stop the light shining through, however this has not really helped as you can see the squares from the front.

It is not a problem as I can carefully remove the tape, but does anyone know the best way to "touch up" a translite that has been scratched in this way.

Oh, and if you think you might have a spare decent Who Dunnit translite lying around, please let me know :)

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Thanks Rudi, but this one is a translate rather than an actual pained back glass.
Cheers, Mark

Hi Paul, unfortunately I have neither the skills or equipment to do anything like that :( However, if someone made a repro translite, would the light shine through in the right places, as I thought although they look "solid" from the back, different parts let different amounts of light through?

Cheers, Mark
