Removing Pop bumper screws

Will they not hammer out? What do they screw to? Just noticed my firepower has the head part embedded but no shaft. To attempt hammering out is the question
 
They hammer in and out. Easy hammer them making sure you don't bend them.
Firm but with care.
They will unscrew when hammered.
Happy hammering.
 
Don't hammer the bare screw end, you won't be able to re-use it!

screw a spare nut on the end a few turns and hit that, it will protect the threads.

I knocked one of mine out to see how easy it was for you and mine are something different just like a flat head with a fun in the inside hammered into the wood :0/
