Remote battery holder or Magic RAM ?

Ok relativly new to all this stuff, ive just got my second pin a t3 and the batteries are still on the board ,now ive read a lot of bad things about this so want to change this asap , so my question is what is the preffered method,is it a remote battery holder with crocodile clips or is it one of the available Magic RAM (or similar) chip replacement things,Ignoring the obvious price difference as for me thats not a consideration , Also is it as simple as removing the original chip and plugging the new one in.All views on this very welcome

If you go the batteries route, spend a little extra and get lithium ones.

Thats a good point i hadent considered lithium battery's as a option
