I am going to treat my fathom to a power module rebuild

Does anyone have a list of the modern codes for the key components that will slot in easily (ie bridge rectifiers and high power resistors) that you can buy from Farnell please?

Can you buy new connector blocks, or do you just clean up the ones you have on the board ?

Thanks

your better off upgrading the bridges with better ones, the trouble is they are larger than the originals, and need to be mounted on top of the board, plus you need to add a better heatsink to them

Hi. Thanks for the suggestion. Upgraded bridges would be a better idea, but my game will get such light use I am not too concerned.

I want to keep work down by swapping like for like if possible, or upgraded ones that fit in the existing location and go beneath the board and use the original heat sinking.

I'm sure you can mount em upside down and screw then to the metal plate. Or did I just make that up?

@Arv you are right. The bridge rectifiers are on the underside of the board. Then bolted through to a metal panel in the base of the cabinet that acts as the heatsink. Some folk will bolt them down with heatsink paste before soldering them to the board. That is a bit hard core for m.
