Hi, i'm looking to fix a few issues with the DE Star Wars I acquired recently, one of them is the weld looks like it's cracked at the end of the main ramp on one side. Any suggestions about how to best to go about fixing this? It looks like it's made of stainless steel and I only have the kit for welding mild steel. Could I silver solder it or should I be looking for someone who can TIG stainless? Any recommendations?

Yep, its a specialist weld for stainless.
Most places that do welding should do it for you.

Thanks, i'll get it removed and try and find a friendly local stainless welder.

I notice that there is a thin lip riveted to it, should I remove that first? But how do you replace rivets like that?
