Rails to be re-plated? What's wrong with them? Surely they can just be polished up to look like new?
My old t2 rails had rust and oxidisation. I just rubbed them down with fine wet and dry, wire wool and polished them up with autosol. Came up perfect

Its not an essential job admittedly , I,m not a perfectionist and it doesn't effect play obviously but I believe Shadow rails are gold, its all but gone, otherwise its in lovely condition, think re plating gold would really finish it off..........just enquiring
Ahh i see Richy. I didn't think the shadow had gold rails. I think @chris b had some done on a TOM not so long back so he may know where and roughly how much
Shadow does not have gold rails from factory.
In that case I'd be blasting them down and polishing them up if i was you Richy.

Oh.........My mistake.....seen lots with gold and myn has remnants of it so assumed........but then assumption is the mother of all @#$% ups!!

Oh no.........I mean the rails that the ball goes on...........are they called something else........still new to this !!!!!

Could always get them 24ct gold plated. Some youtube vids on how to do this with a gold solution and a battery
